Harvest Monday 05/7/12

Still not much gardening going on here.  However did have a nice rhubarb harvest this week.

4 1/2 pounds.

Visit, Daphne's Dandelions , and see what others are harvesting this week.

  4. Nice rhubarb harvest! I think our rhubarb is almost ready...now if our strawberries would just pick up the pace we'd be in the pie making business ;-)

  6. I've never had rhubarb, not a common thing around here, is it worth the space it takes?

  7. Got to love rhubarb for being one of the first "non green" items to harvest in the garden! Knowing you - this will be made into something quite yummy to eat. :D

  8. Rhubarb is one of those things I think about growing but haven't yet. My husband doesn't like it and I like to raw (for that pucker taste!) but I remember reading something that you shouldn't eat rhubarb raw. I'm not quite sure how well it grows in my area; something I'll have to look in to...

  10. When we were kids we picked rhubarb from my grandma's garden and ate it raw with a little salt. Thinking about it makes my mouth pucker!
