Got to love rhubarb for being one of the first "non green" items to harvest in the garden! Knowing you - this will be made into something quite yummy to eat. :D
Rhubarb is one of those things I think about growing but haven't yet. My husband doesn't like it and I like to raw (for that pucker taste!) but I remember reading something that you shouldn't eat rhubarb raw. I'm not quite sure how well it grows in my area; something I'll have to look in to...
This reminds me that I need to get outside and get some rhubarb picked!
ReplyDeleteNice!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice patch of rhubarb. I really ought to go out and pick some of mine.
ReplyDeleteYou are the second post I am reading about rhubarb harvest. That's is quite a harvest.
ReplyDeleteNice rhubarb harvest! I think our rhubarb is almost ready...now if our strawberries would just pick up the pace we'd be in the pie making business ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat reminds me - i'm going to mum and dads tomorrow - must come home with some rhubarb - i see a crumble in my future.
ReplyDeleteI've never had rhubarb, not a common thing around here, is it worth the space it takes?

ReplyDeleteLove rhubard and strawberry pie, but don't have space for the plant.
ReplyDeleteWhen we were kids we picked rhubarb from my grandma's garden and ate it raw with a little salt. Thinking about it makes my mouth pucker!
